Straya

A revival of a small 7.5pt Scotch Roman beauty found in the appendix of "Routledge's Information for Emigrants, What We Did in Australia: Being the Practical Experience of Three Clerks, in the Stock-Yard and at the Gold Fields." Printed in 1853 in London. The Typeface is a modern serif with a vertical stress and high contrast between the vertical strokes and the almost hairline joints. The smallest optical size relies on thick serifs that thins out for headline and display.
